When to Use

  • When contact feels safe and optional
  • After conflict when you want to separate what happened from assumptions
  • When you need a clear request or boundary
  • When you want to draft a short opening before deciding whether to speak

How to Use

  1. 1
Check that contact feels safe and optional before you begin.
  2. 2
Write the observable events, then note the assumptions you may have added.
  3. 3
Describe the impact and name only the accountability that genuinely fits.
  4. 4
Choose a clear request or boundary that does not depend on controlling the other person's response.
  5. 5
Draft a short opening, and decide whether you want to use it, wait, or not make contact.

The Relationship Repair Planner is for an optional conversation after conflict, and only where contact feels safe. Repair is not required, and this plan cannot control another person's readiness, response, or the outcome.

You do not need to forgive, reconcile, disclose anything, or initiate contact. This worksheet is not appropriate if you feel unsafe, pressured, threatened, coerced, or intimidated.

The plan separates observable events from assumptions, impact from accountability that genuinely fits, then helps you decide a clear request or boundary and draft a short opening.
