Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Boring Dystopia Development processes personal data when you use Anxiety Aid Tools. Core tools can be used without an account; account and dashboard features need the data described below.

Last Updated: July 2026

Sensitive information and safety

Wellbeing notes, journal entries, and self-test information can be sensitive. Please do not enter emergency, crisis, or highly sensitive details unless you understand that they will be stored with your account. The app is not monitored for emergencies. If you may harm yourself or someone else, contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline now.

Account and sign-in data

To create and protect your account, we process your email address, login or session records, and—when you choose Google sign-in—your Google identifier and email address. This is necessary to provide secure account access and prevent misuse.

  • /Account email address
  • /Google identifier and email address when you use Google sign-in
  • /Authentication, session, security, and fraud-prevention records

Dashboard and wellbeing data

When you use the dashboard, we store the data needed to save and sync your activity with your account, including journal entries, reflections you enter in guided programs, and responses you enter in fillable worksheets.

  • /Saved items and preferences
  • /Mood check-ins and notes you choose to enter
  • /Self-test answers, scores, and results
  • /Practice activity and related metadata
  • /Journal entries
  • /Reflections you enter in guided programs
  • /Responses you enter in fillable worksheets

This information may be sensitive. It is for your personal use in the app; it is not a medical record, emergency-monitoring service, diagnosis, treatment, or therapy.

Necessary storage on your device

We use necessary cookies or similar storage for sign-in, session security, language preferences, and core app settings. Some tools can keep local-only state on your device. You can clear local browser storage in your browser settings, but doing so may sign you out or reset preferences.

Privacy-focused analytics

We use OpenPanel for anonymous, cookieless audience and limited conversion measurement. Browser analytics is sent through our first-party endpoints and forwarded to our self-hosted OpenPanel service. We record public page views and a small set of aggregate signup or purchase signals without analytics cookies, persistent device or profile identifiers, account linking, emails, payment identifiers, dashboard usage, or sensitive wellness content. First-party delivery can improve resilience to ad blockers but does not guarantee every event is delivered.

  • /Public page views plus limited anonymous aggregate signals only (signup intent, auth method started, account created, and verified Pro purchase totals)
  • /No analytics cookies, local storage identifiers, user profiles, or device IDs are created
  • /Dashboard activity, account details, test answers or results, free-text wellness content, and payment identifiers are excluded
  • /No session replay, link tracking, DOM autocapture, or identified per-user funnels

Service providers and international transfers

We use Cloudflare Workers, D1, and R2 to operate and store service data; Google for Google OAuth sign-in; Stripe for Checkout and payment processing; and OpenPanel for anonymous aggregate analytics. These providers may process data in countries outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. We use providers and safeguards appropriate to the service, but cannot promise that every transfer is governed by the same rules everywhere. We do not sell personal data or automatically enroll you in a marketing audience.

Your rights and complaints

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Contact us to make a request. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority; if you are in the Netherlands, you can contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our service or data practices change. The date above shows the latest revision.
